Apex has always been on the forefront of technology and design. This has led us to create some pretty amazing digital assets, including our proprietary iPhone application and immersive in-home media presentation. Not to mention our beautifully crafted consumer facing website. When we launched the site in 2010, it used beautiful flash animations to create a branded experience for visitors. This was an unfortunate hurdle for us when it came time to create a mobile friendly companion compatible with iOS browsers.
We knew we didn’t want to create your every-day mobile version of our stunning site. We wanted a mobile experience that would resonate the same culture and values that our desktop site does; not the generic, coldness of your typical mobile site.
The answer: HTML5. Like all new technologies we knew HTML5 wasn’t quite ready for the stability and functionality required to replicate our site on a mobile platform. So, we waited. And now after a few years and many hours of programming, we’re proud to release the new mobile-friendly apexenergygroup.com.
You’ll notice right away that we didn’t cut any corners. We wanted our users to have access to the same fully functioning site found from your desktop browser. We didn’t want them to feel short handed. And, we wanted them to still feel captivated through the use of beautiful interactive animations and page transitions.
It’s also very important to note that we wanted to make sure users can still easily find contact information or even schedule appointments directly from their smart phones or tablets. This will open a few new possibilities for Apex to utilize QR codes or other access points that will take users directly to our website on their mobile device.
The new mobile friendly site is just one of many updates we’re currently working on at Apex headquarters. We are constantly pushing the envelope of innovation and are excited to share some of our projects in the pipeline for the new year. Be sure to follow the blog for these future announcements and more. And now you can do it directly from your iPhone, iPad or other mobile device.
