My day started with a bit of sad news. My window, you know the window of “Outside My Window”, has been officially walled up (at least from one side). It has been an enjoyable ride watching all of the progress from my desk and I have no regrets.
A few days ago we had a crew come out to install the soy based foam insulation. This stuff is sweet. It gets in all the nooks and crannies and insulates very well. Plus, it’s soy based so you know it’s good for the environment, safer for the home, and will have a better seal than most fiberglass insulation.
Yesterday, the crew began with the drywall work. It was an amazing site to see the walls go up. The addition really looks like an actual space now. It feels like home!
Today, our accessibility ramp, built to ADA specs, was poured, along with our new employee side entrance staircase.
As you can see, things are going great here and the Apex Addition is moving right along. And although I can no longer document happenings from my current spot, I will continue to check progress and keep you guys updated with stories and, of course, photos. And, as usual, we love to read your comments so keep them coming! Also, feel free to check out and leave some feedback on the Apex Facebook Page. Also, the Apex Snapper (the star of my last post) has been spotted with his own Twitter Account. You can follow his whereabouts and antics at twitter.com/theapexsnapper. I’m sure he would love to hear from you as well!
