So a ton of work has been done here at Apex since we last talked. I mean a lot! It’s only been a few short weeks and we’ve gone from a concrete foundation and a floor, to a nearly finished structure. Of course, we still have a lot of work left to do before we can have a house warming party; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation (soy of course), drywall, and painting. Ah, yes… and we can’t forget the ever important windows!
We already have a home filled with the best criterion resin, fusion welded, triple-paned, and krypton gas filled windows out there. But we wouldn’t be Apex if we didn’t take things to another level with the addition. We’re going to have way more than just the typical double hung. Casement windows, transoms, circle tops and more will be added to our list of windows along with our already stunning bay window that’s located in our current conference room. This means a lot more options to see if you come to visit us at our living showroom. And they’re not just sample windows in a kiosk. These windows are the real deal, put through real world situations. They have survived rain, snow, sleet and hail. And yes, the occasional bird poo. They still look and function as if they were just installed yesterday. Enough about that… I’m sure you’re ready to see some pictures!

Standing on the second floor. No walls in place yet. Looking back at the old break room... soon to be demolished.

After demolition of the old upstairs break room and bathroom. Tying in the old structure with the new. All of this is happening just above my ceiling.
Today in my office [inside by window]… Reinforcing the floor above, the crew had to remove my light cans leaving several open holes vulnerable to falling debris. No lights, power tools overhead, wrapped in plastic like your grandmother’s couch, and still hard at work. A small price to pay for the amazing new addition we will soon have here at the Apex Energy Solutions headquarters in Zionsville, Indiana.

Ah yes… I forgot to mention the slight resemblance to Noah’s Ark that we have going on right now. Plywood and 2×4’s are a good look, don’t you think? I bet if Noah had windows on the Ark, they would have been triple-paned.
That’s all I have for now. I did do an interview this week with Dave Museck of Old World Custom Builders that I will be sharing some bits and pieces from next blog post. Stay tuned! And don’t forget to check out our Facebook and Twitter sites. We’ve got a lot of cool things in store for you guys that you’re not going to want to miss!

This addition is only going to enhance all of the wonderful products that Apex offers. Their windows are beautiful and so energy efficient. Apex is very environmentally conscious and this addition only reinforces their message. It is very exciting to see the progress.
It has been an awesome experience seeing all of this happen. Happy to share my experiences with everyone! Can’t wait for it to be finished!
LOVE IT! Raiders of the Apex Arc! If you could only capture the hammering and Mexican radio blaring as you typed this blog! Good work! Keep the pictures coming!
Excellent work. I really appreciate the Bram in a bubble shot. It’s hard to believe how much larger the headquarters in going to be!

The “Ark” looks great so far! It’s pretty incredible how much progress has been made in such a short amount of time. I can’t wait to see the finished project! Soy insulation??? Just another example of Apex being on the cutting edge of energy efficient home improvement products. My only question is whether the the “Ark” will float?
Your project is certainly going up faster than my remodeling project. Looks great, but I do see how the structure resembles an arc, just how many creatures can you get in there? Look forward to seeing the finished project next time I’m in town.
Having a living showroom is something you just don’t see in the industry. This addition only enhances what Apex stands for. Oh yeah, the progress looks great and can’t wait for the next update and blog post!
Apex has always been looking toward the future. It is amazing to see how far the office has progessed in 8 years. We started with an office that looked like a barn in an alley, to nice office space on Meridian, to the current character filled living showroom in Zionsville. The direction and growth of the company always keeps me excited to be a part of the team.
Wow, very impressive.
I’ll have to come down and check it out! looks nice!
Wanted to mention how much I like the article and Bram’s writing panache! Hilarious picture of him wrapped in plastic. You guys rock!
Amazing photography, but we’ve come to expect that out of Bram!
Looking good!
Love the update! Looks amazing!!
I love the pic of Bram under the clear sheet–bit creepy, though. Hope there were air holes.
I can’t wait to be able to show homeowners our specialty windows in the new addition (not to mention, the ability to work in the current conference room without feeling like I’m in Tremors).
Great work!
Great pictures Bram! Can’t wait to read your next post and see how much more progress has occurred.
Looking great so far! Can’t wait to see the finished addition. It’s going to be beautiful.
Taking an already amazing showroom and making it even better. It’ll no doubt look as if its always been there upon completion.
